Original Airbrushed paintings by Gill are an enigma. They are not often available for purchase, command the highest price of the Hawaiian airbrush artists, and yet the artist is unknown. Scores of collectors of Hawaiian art from the 1930's-50's have researched the artist and yet to date the actual name and biography remain undiscovered. In fact the artist's gender has not been defined.
